Originally I was an electronics and computer specialist since the late 70's. When I ordered this teardown kit I didn't have high hopes for the quality and when it arrived I was surprised at how solid the quality is. The wick/braid is what you would expect from a braid, but the pumping unit is top notch for a small hand held soldering cup. All parts fit well with no play and the suction power of the piston is much stronger than I expected or hoped for at this price point. I've paid way more over the years for just a suction cup and gotten all that cheap plastic junk. It feels like this device will be used for many years and hours.
