I don't know if I will ever buy this brand again because the sides are too transparent. There are also a few things that bother me, but are so minor that I don't even want to mention them. I haven't had it that long so will update if it ever falls apart but so far so good. I drew something with colored pencils yesterday and it turned out great. It didn't work even with several layers and strong pressure on the pins. Don't pick up the paper, don't pierce it or do anything like that. I also use pastel for this, although it's not meant for that and they've worked pretty well so far. It's not perfect, of course, but it works if you don't take it too seriously.
