While searching for TV mounts I came across an article that mentioned preparation before ordering the mount and before starting the installation process. It was a good post and very helpful. I was able to find that I could use the 16" mount (I don't need the longer 24" version), but I need a model that slides left or right. This device moves 6 inches in each direction. The device is very solid and allows for all the customizations I was hoping for. I used if for a 50" TV. The only suggestion is that the manufacturer could consider including mounting tips - for example high for mounting a TV. If I had to do it again I would set it slightly lower.
