Replaces old 2009 model The back panel is about 10mm smaller, so some panel edges are a bit rough. I need to touch up around the device but there is NO PAINT on the device! That broke my other one. The painters were told not to paint so they removed the outer shell and completely painted over the back wall! Needless to say, the adrenaline was quickly rising from the messed up bad block I had just installed 2 days before painting. After trying to fix the damaged device, I was forced to buy a new one based on Xfiniti's professional recommendation. They finally came back yesterday to replace it and reconfigure my system with a new smoke detector. It works great and now feels refreshed and secure with my whole house online. Today I install the ring. I'll be writing a review in a few weeks but I expect good reviews of this device. Great replacement and happy with Honeywell wireless smoke alarm. That's a good value!
