I've always been a public course player and was always frustrated that I couldn't play well on the faster country club courses. 5 years ago this frustration came to the surface and I did a lot of research to find the fastest putting mat I could find and ended up with the ProAdvanced ProInfinity Mat https://www.amazon.com/gp/ product/B00O1YIA1C landed. At its top speed, it's faster than the green you'll find at most country clubs. In just one winter it gave me a whole new understanding of putting and made a huge difference to me on the green. Fast forward to last week, I started looking for a replacement for my old mat as it is showing its age and creases. formed in the middle part. I don't know why ProAdvanced is no longer available so I had to look for alternatives. There are many options now, but the ability to change speeds is an absolute must. This one caught my eye because it's not traditional green and the black and blue color scheme really caught my eye. Yes I find it weird, I think it looks more modern and suits my mancave better. This mat costs about half the price of the ProAdvanced, which is a great bonus. In any case, the first impression is that this mat is slightly thinner than the ProAdvanced. The backer is about the same, so the bristles are slightly shorter on the top. The immediate effect is that you don't see the ball's trajectory either. However, this is offset by the black color as the contrast is significant. Incidentally, you can only really see the imprint of the ball if you put it on against the direction of the brush. In other words, if you always use it at maximum speed, you'll never see any traces. I also think the shorter bristles may help as they may not wear out as much as the ProAdvanced over the years. We have yet to see. It rolled fairly well, but still took about 24 hours to really flat out, just like the ProAdvanced. My advice: put it on a flat place and leave it. Keep it away from foot traffic as footprints really ruin the surface. Mine had 2 end stoppers but there is only velcro on one end so it's not entirely clear why there are 2. The photo only shows 1 so it may not have been packaged properly. It came with 2 wedges while the ProAdvanced came with a set of 6 so you can stack on top of each other to create different heights. Wedges are great in my own experience, but I haven't used them much. The goal of the training is to internalize a sense of speed control while putting putts on the line. I was completely satisfied with the installation of the center line, which is probably why my old one already had a crack. In general I am very satisfied with the purchase. I look great and work well which has saved me a few bucks.
