Review on 🐟 Enhance Aquarium Filtration with MarineLand Penguin PRO Power Filter by Cheryl Guzman

Note the waterline issue

All good except when I hit the top of the waterline there is about 3 inches of air/dead space at the top of the tank. If you look at the photo on the product packaging, it also shows a waterline well below the top of the aquarium. I find it unsightly and it makes the overhead light look bad. Also, the filter's power cord is submersible on my setup (because of the new design) and I'm concerned about that. Tried to get an answer on the Marineland website and got a nonsensical response. Maybe I'll call her. The rest are very satisfied. Was able to use my old Design-C filter box (these machines got louder every time I bought one). This new design is very quiet compared to the old one, although my son complains about the sound of the water due to the issue above. My aquarium is acrylic and it fits just right. I added some spacers to raise it up a bit and allow more water into the tank. Again, I'm not sure if this is dangerous, and I wish Marineland was more responsive. I have a discus and this is a help for the canister filter underneath. I noticed that the discus avoided the side of the tank with the new filter for at least a month, possibly because the engine was submerged. Discus don't like change, so that's it.
