I wasn't expecting too much from these scissors, just wanted a good, basic pair for the kitchen. I'm getting old, but my hands don't work! Sometimes you have to use scissors to open the wrappers, but also to cut the bacon in half to fit the pan better (it works better than a knife for this job). I bought a few of these and put them in a drawer thinking I wouldn't need much. But yes! You are really strong. Easy to cut plastic clamshell packaging. They are easy to grab. Will cut raw chicken bones if they're not too thick, but they're not poultry shears after all. I recently had crab legs and forgot they had a lobster cracker feature and it worked great. The husband was so impressed that he asked for a pair for his workshop. One of my favorite finds from Revain!
