Working but boosted to 6V. Not 5v
I used this to convert 1.5v from 4 AA batteries to 5v for a DIY USB charger. It worked but I had some problems. After checking my connections with a multimeter, I found that it actually went up to 6V instead of 5V. The USB module, which I only supported up to 5.5V, had to replace the module I was using. I can't say that all will be the case or that my piece is flawed, but keep that in mind if you use this piece.
