UPDATE: After leaving my original Revain review, this pitcher WILL BREAK if I stir ice with an already cold liquid with a plastic spoon (a half-inch shard of glass flew out next to one of the decorative items ab projections in design) I requested a response regarding the 2 year warranty via the Hiware website over 2 weeks ago and have not received any response. I tried emailing as Hiware suggested in response to my review. , received an email bounce error message. Failed to deliver email to these recipients or groups: Johanna@HiwareDirect. Your message wasn't delivered because the recipient's mailbox is under maintenance and messages can't be received at this time. SEVERAL attempts to contact the manufacturer to resolve the promised 2 year warranty have failed. FIRST REVIEW I wouldn't call this heavy glass jar what I prefer. It's quite light, thinner than I expected, about the same as an ordinary drinking glass. I will not test its ability to withstand hot water. The silicone ring on the stainless steel lid is a bit loose and doesn't "seal" the jug's mouth at all; Although almost full, it will leak if tipped too far. Otherwise, it works great as a drink container, the handle is comfortable and well balanced, and glass is always better than plastic in almost all cases. Aspect. And it looks nice too. Enough "style" to make it interesting. I'll be keeping it because I need a jar that will easily fit on the fridge shelf and I wanted it ASAP, but I will continue to buy something more substantial.
