Review on Poly Planar External Speaker Round White by Adam Webbie

This year I installed new electronics on my boat including a new VHF radio. At cruising speed, radio traffic can hardly be heard with both engines running. So I decided to install an extra speaker. I looked at several options including a boosted speaker but didn't want to run extra wiring (12V for a boosted speaker) and got this speaker despite only having a single star rating. This is a great speaker and has enough volume for me. It came with a 10 foot cord and the small jack also had an adapter for an RCA plug. I didn't know I needed it so I got lucky. Easy installation with no problems. The cord turned out to be long enough that I didn't have to extend it, but the photos are before and after. The only downside was the template, the mounting holes indicated on the template did not match the holes on the speaker.
