Review on Girls' Merrell Quest Waterproof Berry Shoes for Boys by Michael Vargas

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Cute! But that's all.

I bought these for my son to use in the mountains. But I really like the design! Child size 6 runs smaller than expected. I have wide feet and it's ok, the toe box is wide enough for a normal width. Good feed. Would like more cushioning. Comparing them to other children's winter boots like Kamik, Sorel, I finally understand why the ankle strap is needed, which is not present here. The whole boot here has only one place to adjust and that is the lacing with the button at the top. This is not enough for extra fit and comfort. This review was written from a home fitting. So no comment on grip and waterproofness. My verdict: They're fine for city and yard use on snowy days, or sledding at a nearby park, but not for long walks in the mountains.

  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires outlet
