I installed this wireless router by simply plugging it in. Internet and Wi-Fi were up and running in minutes. After connecting to the WAN (using my old blue cable on the wall), I plugged my computer into one of the other yellow ports. I opened the Chrome browser and navigated to the IP address listed on the label (http://192.168.3.1) and the setup page woke me up with some settings like setting an administration password and then Wi-Fi passwords. There is also a website http://speedefywifi.com if you don't want to enter an IP address. The type of Internet connection was automatically detected. My internet speed should be 400Mbps but I got 470Mbps using fast.com. Many good settings have already been optimized, e.g. B. Beamforming and preferred range (disabled) for better WiFi performance/coverage. You can set parental controls and speed limits for each connected device. There are also channel and bandwidth settings that can be adjusted to fine-tune Wi-Fi performance. (I used to have a Linksys mesh WiFi that didn't even have this setting). There are many settings typically found on pricier Wi-Fi routers, but they're included with this one. The power cord is about 4 feet long, but I was lucky my outlet was close enough to reach it. This router can save you money compared to the monthly fee for an Internet company's wireless router.
