Strange Tensions. Yes, they work with WeMos D1 / ESP8266

As other reviewers have noted, these sensors have an oddly narrow output voltage range. You can easily get them to work with Leonardos and UNO digital GPIO pins. You can also get them to work on WeMos D1/ESP8266 3.3V devices with a little care as there are many unique pin configurations. What I have: A0: Works between 4 and 1024D0: Initialize with INPUT_PULLDOWN_16 and connect the sensor directly to D0D3/D4 (and possibly other standard GPIO pins): Initialize with INPUT_PULLUP and add a 10k pullup resistor to pin. It's great for small, compact (and cheap) sensors, but requires a bit more setup than more rugged IR boards.

Pros
  • Repeatable trigger mode: that is, after the induction output is high, the output remains low during the delay time when the body is in its inductive activity range, until the delay after the person becomes high. (That is, the sensor module automatically determines the delay time after each human body activity, and takes the time of the last activity as the starting point for the delay time).
Cons
  • A newer model could have been selected
