
They appear to be very well made and screw on (great) rather than slipping over the existing lens mount. One might think that the factory filter (UV filter) was installed quite firmly and needed a good grip to remove it. Not correct. The trick is to gently grasp the edge of the filter and twist it (counterclockwise, as with any lens filter) to remove it. Once you hold it tight, it's almost impossible to take it off. Another advantage of this design is that when using LenSkin filters, the outer dimensions of the camera lens barrel remain the same. If you want to use a lens hood, that's fine. If you don't want to use a lens hood, you don't understand cameras yet. Please get a lens hood. They are also slightly heavier than the factory filter, causing the camera to sag. It has not yet been decided whether this will work well. :-)
