Review on Improved SEO: Qualcraft 2470 Corner Buddy Stabilizer for Aluminum Ladders by James Prizgint

The Corner Buddy works great. It was relatively easy to attach to the stairs and mounted directly above the top step there was plenty of clearance even in the corners with downspouts. I know the manufacturer says in the instructions to mount it *under* the top rail, but then the top rail gets caught in the downspouts. I would give this product 5 stars if it weren't for a few things. The U-brackets that attach the stabilizer to the ladder work well, but the design could be a bit better. An angled nylon spacer between the stabilizer bar and the plate/wing nuts makes tightening the wing nuts easier. The yellow paint on this thing is awful. The paint came off when I attached it to the stairs and after just one use there was a lot of paint peeling around the attachment points. (see photo) This makes me doubt the durability of the product. I would pay $10 more if they just used better paint or even anodized the aluminum. For the price it works well but a slightly upgraded mount and paint finish would make this product perfect.
