Seriously, this is a great jacket! It has a nice soft cotton and fleece lining and on the outside it's a nice windbreaker. I also like that the outer pockets have zips, but the pockets are not lined to keep your hands warm. Also, the zipper can get stuck in the material if the user is not careful. The right inner pocket is also there, but closes with Velcro. There are no drawstrings on the hood, but there is a small elastic band at the top/front of the hood that keeps the hood in place even on a windy day. In addition, the hood is lined so that the little ears can stay warm if necessary. I like the front zip. Not heavy, but not bad quality either. What bothered me the most was that the size chart didn't match the actual size of the jacket. Based on the size chart I ordered XL for my 7 year old son who is average for his age (he wears a size 7). When it arrived it said XL (18-20) on the tag and clung to my son like he was a toddler trying to wear two sizes bigger. So I ordered M (10-12) and it fits him perfectly. I will be ordering the same jacket in the future, but it was a hassle ordering twice and waiting in between for the Michigan spring weather to hit us - not warm enough to go without a jacket, but too warm for a winter coat.
