Beautiful colors and beautiful finishes together with a durable metal construction make it a pleasure to use. It's easy to have and keep, but also very useful. For some pencils that are difficult to sharpen, there may be better options, but they can easily cost $10 or more each. The larger hole is not only for fuller pens, but with careful handling can result in a shorter and stronger nib for a regular pen - see the right pen in my attached picture. Plus erasers! highlighted.
