5 rides under 50 degrees - Verdict

GREATI bought Nicewin thermal fleece cycling pants when I was riding in winter. Now I have subjected them to a fair test with more than 5 rides in the temperature range from 34 to 48 degrees. Two of the five trips included moderate north-west winds in excess of 10 miles per hour. My trip is 50 minutes on the NS loop, so half is downwind and half is far away. Size: I'm 5'10 @ 185 lbs with a typical pant size of 36" waist and 32" inseam. I bought XL and they fit perfectly. Feeling: Really good feeling. Some cycling leggings can chafe or feel uncomfortable, but Nicewin has very comfortable seats. Soft Seat: I ride a Cannon Carbon Hybrid with 32cc tires. I always wear padded shorts but I don't need them with the Nicewin leggings as the padding that comes with them works well. Warmth: excellent - much better than expected. Even with a north-west wind of 8-10 miles per hour, they roast at a temperature of around thirty degrees. Layers: I tested layers and the slim design makes it light and comfortable. I've tried riding with regular athletic leggings and they fit easily without causing any discomfort when adding an underlayer. This test was about 40 degrees and the bottom layer was not needed for heat. Nicewin's sleek design makes it easy to add a top layer when riding below 30 degrees. Zippers: I prefer Nicewin to competitors like Sponeed because of the zippers. Ankle zips make it easy to put on and take off. The pockets are a big bonus and there are only three of them, one with a zip which is great for an ID or key. Longevity: TBD, but so far this all makes for a great buy at $28. Recommended: YES
