Review on Caframo Limited MRKCA02BX Ecofan Replacement by Johnny Moger

I am very happy with the easy installation and glad I only had to buy this one part instead of buying a whole new fan. Last year I noticed my 6 year old fan would start to slow down and then stop working altogether, even though it was running on a perfectly hot wood stove. I was willing to spend money on a new fan, but then I stumbled across something that said motors die over time and you can just replace the motor. Who knew?! I made sure it was the correct motor and when the package arrived in the mail last night it only took me 2 minutes to swap it out. It comes with a small Allen key to remove the blade from the motor, then all you need is a small screwdriver to loosen the case clamp on the fan. Then simply attach the connector to the device, then plug back into the device body, reattach the blade and you're done! I looked at the instructions AFTER that fact and it says soldering iron and such, but I think it's because you bought the wrong motor and need to make some changes. Since my fireplace wasn't working yet, I decided to check if the fan was working by putting it on a regular stove. Not sure if this is good for the fan or not but I really wanted to see if it worked and TA YES it worked like a charm! I'm so happy with my little purchase because I now have the perfect fan to move the heat from my wood stove to another room. GRATITUDE!
