Love these pants! The eggplant color is beautiful and of excellent quality. I think that without measures and specifics, reviews will not help at all. I was going to wear it to my review, ao here it is. I weigh 160-165 pounds with most of my weight on the bottom. pear shape. 5'5", waist 28, hips 43, between hips 25"-28" (28" on vacation). I'm usually tall but I went for XL and it fits perfectly. Not too tight, not too loose. A little loose in the waist but I carry two thermoses so that was a godsend. More like that extra tissue. One day we snowmobiled for two hours and kept me warm in about 11° (with wind when snowmobiling) and 25° without wind. We went skiing for two hours the other day. I have dropped them 3 times and they are not torn or broken. The fabric has some stretch for more freedom of movement. I have never felt uncomfortable. If you are concerned about the size and feel comfortable, I will take at least one size larger than what you usually wear. Hope that helps!
