Review on πŸ“ MAXUS Espresso Scale with Timer: Small and Handy Barista Scale for Perfect Coffee Brewing by Dawn Valdez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Worth buying again and again

This is my third scale. There seems to be a lot of people renaming this scale. This is the first I've ever seen the brand itself use as a coffee scale. I love the little details on this one (compared to others) like the circle in the center of the scale. I bought it to have the scale on the go. I often forget my scale when drinking espresso on the go. I will use my existing scales on the go and use these at home. My very first one got crushed in my luggage (there are 3 in total). What I like most about this scale is that it doesn't come with a solid silicone case like it used to. I never saw the need for them. For espresso: It's almost perfect. I have a problem: sometimes it can be 0.3g, the trick is to finish weighing, put some pressure on the scale and then it corrects itself. Same if you add 1-2 beans. Of course, for shooting, I could get a $200 Acaia Lunar and get very accurately timed shots, but that can be tracked pretty well, especially considering the price. Simply reduce serving 1-2g before target weight depending on water consumption. For other Flair users: Fits all Flair models and also the Flair 58 drip tray.
