I bought these mats to replace my cricket mats. I was doing a multi part project so I decided to use all the mats to make it faster - I was wrong. 1st problem - the plastic/glue smell was so strong it made me dizzy - we had to open the window to air the room. 2nd problem - the glue does not stay on the carpet. When I removed the vinyl from the mat the adhesive came with it leaving a sticky trail on the back of my project and no adhesive was left on the mat. In the first picture you can see where the adhesive is on the back of the vinyl and in the second picture you can see where the adhesive has been removed. I'm just glad I decided to use them for a removable backing project first rather than a paper/cardboard project. The third problem is that they are NOT as flexible as cricket mats. I usually remove the rug from the project to avoid puckering and when I tried these rugs I heard a crackling sound and they are brand new. It is NOT worth saving $5 compared to Cricut mats. The first thing I did after trying to salvage my project was toss those rugs and then ordered a Cricut.
