Review on πŸ”§ Enhance Engine Performance with K&N PF-1200 Fuel Filter by Ryan Brunson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I'm sure the filter will be great but I had to put the tabs down to connect the banjo.

I just replaced the 21 year old original filter on my 1999 4 door Civic EX and would have given it 5 stars but the steel tabs holding the fuel hose connector and banjo bolt were too tight. .I just put a piece of tape on the outlet side of the filter (you don't need steel filings in a new filter, right?) and filed it a little wider. Worked great. I recommend this filter, just have the file ready to set it up. A few installation tips: Remove the battery. This gives you a little more room to work and prevents your car from catching fire. Place the filter in the bracket on the outside of the vehicle, loosely secure the clamp and hand tighten the screw. Then transfer the entire assembly to the vehicle and manually start the lower fuel line. Hand tighten. Then screw the bracket back onto the firewall and tighten the filter clamp. two new large washers. Reinstall the battery. Turn the ignition key to the position in front of the handle several times to fill the filter and check for leaks. Start your car and have a beer or a cold drink. Transparency? The filter has a transparent black surface.
