Not OEM specs but will work if you have pliers.

I thought it would be a great price on a K&N brand fuel filter so I bought it. When I went to install it on my 1997 Honda Civic LX I thought I had a problem with the upper banjo bolt. It turned out that the "bifurcated" parts at the top were too close together and were preventing the upper fuel line from seating properly. Four stars because I had to straighten these parts a bit to properly attach the fuel line. The filter was marked "Made in Mexico". It's probably different there. I've never…

Save yourself the hassle and get the OEM filter

Benefits: The car runs smoother and accelerates better after installation. Cons: Installation was PITA! The groove where the neck of the fuel line sits was too narrow! You have to make an effort and push in. Even then, I couldn't get her to sit all the way down. All I had to do was screw in the fuel line bolt and pray I didn't strip the threads on the fuel filter or fuel line bolt. Because of this it had a slow leak after installation so I had to tighten the top. Fuel line bolt exceeds…

Fuel Hose Bracket not wide enough for 97 Civic EX

This product requires modification to fit the 97 Civic EX. If the product says it will fit your vehicle, it does not need to be modified to fit. I had to take an open end wrench and use a couple of pounds of hammer to disassemble the fuel line bracket. Someone else in the comments said they had to cut the mounting pins. I just thought they would bend and they did. However, it seemed like it was too tight and was curious if it would leak. There are no leaks so I won't be returning. K&N should…

Excellent replacement filter for 20 years

Fitted on Honda Civic Ex. This filter replaced a 20 year old Honda OEM filter and I immediately noticed a positive change in performance. Installation was easy, no problems, no problems with the fuel line holding the u-bracket up like other people have reported on other Honda/Acuras models. The filter came in a K&N box with a bag of 3 washers, two 12mm and one 6mm. I did not use the 6mm washer which I believe was for the flared inlet line as it was not installed with the old filter and the 6mm…

Doesn't fit 98 CR-V

So like a lot of the comments I had to put the prongs down to make it fit. Also, the supplied washers are much larger than the original ones and are not made of copper. I was having trouble starting the CRV and now wanted to stall. I thought maybe because of the new fuel filter, maybe the injectors were clogged, but now I'm thinking it could be the shims misaligning the orifices due to the different sizes. Will be updated after replacement. My suggestion is to get a different filter, not just…

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Some issues

I just replaced the 21 year old original filter on my 1999 4 door Civic EX and would have given it 5 stars but the steel tabs holding the fuel hose connector and banjo bolt were too tight. .I just put a piece of tape on the outlet side of the filter (you don't need steel filings in a new filter, right?) and filed it a little wider. Worked great. I recommend this filter, just have the file ready to set it up. A few installation tips: Remove the battery. This gives you a little more room to work…

Integra Owners Notice (94-01)

My car Integra GS 2000. I had to post this because I ran into a small problem. This filter looks like OEM. The installation is quite easy. Remember to depressurize the fuel line (open the gas cap, remove the fuel pump fuse and turn the ignition key, it goes out). I won't run the rest of the setup as there are dozens of YouTube videos. Here's the problem with this filter on the Integra: The u-groove that holds the fuel line neck is TOO small! I'm against it. It will not sit flush. Here's my…
