Review on Nilight NI FH02 Circuit Adapter Warranty by Duane Mann

The socket was too tight

I have used this type of product in the past to install car mirrors with Homelink so I decided to use them for the reverse release cable in the backup camera installation I am doing. I got her out of Revane's locker last night. The first thing I noticed when I got home was that they were sent unopened and unsealed, in fact the top corner was cut off. I counted, there were 10 fuses and 10 adapters, so I didn't bat an eyelid. Then came the actually easy part of installing a fuse in an outlet. It was like trying to put a round pin in a square hole. The bushings are so tight that I bent the first fuse with all the effort it took to get it in and it still wouldn't go in. So I tried a different fuse and adapter; the same thing. With the help of needle nose pliers and patience I managed to install two fuses. The spacing between these fuses was so small that you actually had to bend the fuses outward to keep them from touching. So I decided to pull the fuses and guess what happened: the contacts in the adapter are so tight that when I pulled the 2nd fuse the knife and fuse were pulled out of the fuse body! Do yourself a favor and buy from someone. I'm surprised Revane recommended them. Looks like I'll have to go to my local auto parts store to finish the project. These will return.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
