Review on Rorence Whistling Tea Kettle Heat Resistant by Anita Davis

Kettle looks cool, worked fine for about 3 weeks. I happened to notice yesterday that the bottom edge of the plastic cap was becoming uneven - presumably it started to melt in close proximity to the hot metal surface. This morning I discovered the spout lid was stuck in the open position and when I went to close it to boil water I found it had melted so (I think last time I used it?). I cautiously tried to close it, but to no avail. As a result, a piece of plastic flew away somewhere - although the spout lid remained closed. The handle is also now loose where it attaches to the front of the kettle. SUPER is frustrating (and potentially a bit dangerous considering it uses boiling water). Refund requested - we'll see.
