Kitchen Dining Kettle

I almost sent it back because it had two spots where the enamel paint was missing or not adhering. It works great and is very pretty but if it was a gift I would return it. QC must have missed it!

Cool kettle! - Kitchen and Dining

The teapot is beautiful, looks very trendy and modern with a clean shiny caramel apple color and an elegant yet whimsical design. I bought it because I also bought a bread toaster, toaster, microwave and coffee maker in the same bright red color. Boils water very quickly. Live looks even better.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Beautiful but not great

Cute and well-made teapot

From the outside, this teapot looks like a thousand others. What sets it apart is that the details are superbly done. It uses a capsule base instead of plain sheet metal. As a result, the bottom is perfectly flat, perfectly level with the sides of the kettle and works just as well on induction hobs as any kettle I've tried. The spout/whistle is operated by a push button on the handle which is very comfortable to use.

What a whistle!: Kettle

That must be a whistle kettle. At best, it's a faint hiss. When you leave, this kettle doesn't warn you that the water is boiling. Otherwise it's a good pot. This is an update of the original review. I lowered it 1 star but it should have been -2. If you depend on a whistle alerting you to hot water, then I recommend you be ready to call the fire department. Twice the water boiled this pot dry. Yes, there would have been a fire if my dogs hadn't warned me.

Pros
  • Excellent workmanship
Cons
  • Boring packaging

Beautiful Blue Maker: No!

This teapot is shit. It's been three weeks and he barely whistles loud enough for me to hear in the next room. The lid is still very tight and difficult to remove, but steam now escapes around the lid no matter how hard I squeeze it, and the same goes for the spout. I've burned my hand countless times trying to fill the kettle. And I give it back I only use it for one cup of coffee for breakfast and one for tea. So I'm very disappointed. Looks good, but I can only recommend it. I replaced it…

  • I hold my fists

Defective workmanship = disappointment

What I liked: 1 kettle arrived 4 days faster than expected. 4 I liked the price. What I noticed: (Reason for fewer stars) 1 There was a chipped paint on the outer paneling! Where's the quality control?!? That's why I hate buying things online. I don't have time to deal with returns so I'm stuck with a damaged item and as a result I'm a dissatisfied customer. Too bad nobody else cares about their work. Two thumbs down to whoever gave permission to ship this teapot. poorly made. 2 It takes…

Broke and expired in less than 1 month

Kettle looks cool, worked fine for about 3 weeks. I happened to notice yesterday that the bottom edge of the plastic cap was becoming uneven - presumably it started to melt in close proximity to the hot metal surface. This morning I discovered the spout lid was stuck in the open position and when I went to close it to boil water I found it had melted so (I think last time I used it?). I cautiously tried to close it, but to no avail. As a result, a piece of plastic flew away somewhere - although
