nails that work well as they should. No rust, plastic collators are intact. Plastic parts fit everywhere, but that's the nature of the design. I don't know anything about house building or construction, but I seem to have read that 2" x 4" lumber requires regular 16d nails that are a bit thicker than these. With my age, diabetic neuropathy, arthritis and whatnot, using my 27-year-old Vaughn 20-ounce hammer wasn't really an option. It takes me about 12 shots to hit a 16d. This is my personnel situation. When I was younger I could do it at three four. I've never been a carpenter, but my brother and I tried to drive a nail in with one punch. We came close a couple of times, but they were too proud. In any case, it doesn't seem practical to me. Maybe there are people with bigger hammers, stronger hands and forearms who could. Either way, the nail gun hammers those slightly smaller fasteners with a single pull of the trigger. I've never used a nail gun before, but it was easy to do. No traffic jams or hesitation with them. I'm going to build a barn, but the price of wood is a lot higher than I thought, so I'm hoping the price will go down this winter. Planning permission is not required for a barn less than 200 square feet, so I'm sure the nails will do. I will wear safety goggles and hearing protection. Shards are flying everywhere, and it's possible the metal could hurt your eyes. The noise generated made my tinnitus louder. I have used other products from this company and they have worked well. May God protect our military personnel and others who are in needless danger. As a veteran, I understand your service. Many Thanks.
