Review on Black Thule 599XTR Aero Adapter for 724 and 725 XSPORTER/RAPID by Rick Ross

This adapter set is required when you want to fit a bike holder to some Thule handlebars. In general, do you think: will my bike last if I'm going 70 miles per hour? And yes it will. But what doesn't work are the plastic "things" that you have to screw on to a "certain" point that isn't defined, and then you press them. It worked fine on one of my bikes, but when I put the other one on the car and pushed the plastic down, it broke! I didn't expect to be that strong. So I used a spare but it still felt free. So while driving I first had to stop every 2 miles to reattach it and end up finding some duck tape to hold it in place. I will do the conversion myself. But for the price you pay for it, don't expect to have to. Thule must go back to the drawing board!
