Great little thermometer. I have several. This last one I ordered is what I use for my ball python aviary to control the temperature of its heating element. It has a simple LCD screen. This screen doesn't have a backlight, but I think that's a good thing because the battery wears out faster. Has a black cord with suction cup. The suction cup sticks well to glass or plastic. A small empty battery lasts a long time, several months. You can get the battery anywhere, I bought it from Walmart, Target, etc. It is very effective in measuring temperature. I placed a temperature sensor over the heating pad I use for my ball python and it gives me an accurate temperature reading which is very important for its safety. I have used several thermometers from this brand on various reptile enclosures with great success. I will continue to buy these for my pet care needs. They are also food for incubators, growing plants and aquariums!
