Works great in combination (in parallel) with any BMS. In a perfect world, all 16 cells would be perfect and would remain so for years. Yes, good luck with that. Most known BMS only have a meager 50 milliamps to equalize and it only starts on the last 1/4 of a charge. Get a full 5.5A of equalization power over the top 3/4 of the operating range of voltage, charge, discharge, or standby with this active EQ/balancer. Hot resistors do not waste energy. This block takes energy from the top cells and directs it to the bottom cells instead of just burning energy from the top cells. Keep the full rated capacity longer because your BMS won't stop charging due to over cells. In standby mode it consumes very little power, but there is an option to include a switch to put it in sleep mode for very long storage. At this point I would also disconnect the scale connector from the BMS. I see no problem using this with combined cells up to 600 or more as long as they are of acceptable quality. Get the most out of your long-term investment with this affordable device. Make the battery better than you can buy! My only complaint is that the EQ cables are too short.
