The idea of a game with tactile and visual stimulation is appealing, but should be reserved for 2D puzzles. The protrusions on these blocks limit possible stacking to two or three unstable rows, as the lack of contact makes them extremely unstable. Children and adults get very frustrated when they try to lump them together, and even not-so-pleasant disappointments teach patience. Now I just use them as a kind of 2D Tetris game where I move, rotate and flip the pieces to get bigger and easier pieces to fit all the different blocks.
