The best thing about Netdicks is that it provides you with very good integration points both for the client side (web interface) as well as the server side (API). As a developer I also love how easy it was to integrate my application into our platform. It's not perfect yet but i think they are working hard towards improvements in this area. A problem we had at first was that sometimes the search results were slow due to some heavy queries. We solved this by re-indexing more often than usual. This helped us get better search result and faster loading times. Also their support team is awesome! Always available via email/phone/chat. They usually resolve your issues within 1 business day. If there are any minor glitches like typo in documentation or something then they will fix them quickly without complaining too much. You can do almost everything using API so if you want to develop applications outside of Netdick itself you have.
