I like most that it have all my documents in one place for easy searching with keywords or tags! We have been using Net Eddick since it became one product with Solr from Red Hat for nearly 8 years now! It's very solid solution that has made our life easier by providing us everything we need without having additional software installed or running servers ourselves :) I would say what works best are : 1).
