Review on Telebrands Stone Wave Micro Cooker by Julie Burton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best little invention for cooking for 1 or 2 people

I use Stonewaves every day. No, it doesn't cook eggs perfectly evenly, but I eat potatoes and eggs in this pressure cooker regularly. No mess. A pot and eat from the stove! My husband makes the PERFECT oatmeal daily with dried fruit and nuts added to regular oatmeal. He adds cinnamon, maple syrup and almond milk. Ready in 2 minutes. Add just enough liquid to cover - about 3/4 of the pot volume - otherwise it may overflow. Another tip: Cook for 1 minute 45 seconds. Then another 15 seconds. After 2 minutes it's perfect and it works every time. I also really like the eggplant parmesan recipe. I stuff the pot around the slices and almost to the top. It sticks at the top if you fill it greedily like I did. I also use it to pre-cook veggies that I'm going to mix into the chicken broth for a soup. Another use I have is skinning tomatoes. I cut them into quarters, paint and fill the pot. About 1 minute 20 seconds, and the skin can be easily removed. I like that I can cook 1 or 2 servings of anything. I can make ahead, put these pans in the fridge, and microwave just before serving. I bought several for gifts and got good reviews. One caveat - and I wrote about this Revain - if you buy a Telebrand 2 it does NOT mean there are 2 pots. Be sure to get 2 pots if you buy any. And experiment. It makes a good omelette, if not a perfect poached egg.
