For years I have struggled with leaking/leaking oil from my Corvette 67's large block valve covers. I have heavy hydraulic lifters so I do valve adjustments once or twice a year. I used to have to change the seals after adjusting, but now that I have a Fel-Pro 1630s there are no more leaks! I used to use a cheap cork to save a few bucks, but forget it! I bought a Fel-Pro 1630 and just glued them to the valve covers with yellow o-ring glue and then let them dry overnight. The next day I lightly coat the underside of the gasket with clean oil and then apply it to my aluminum heads with almost no tightening of the bolts and there's never a leak! It's a few bucks more but believe me it's a great investment, I only wish I had bought it years ago!
