I chose this case because the price for a case with a fan was lower and the reviews in general gave an interesting idea, the design of this case. In the end I would have preferred a more traditional case design as this case is a lot more hassle than it's worth having to open it after assembly. In order to remove the cover (which I had to do 3 times because the fan just didn't fit in the case - it hit the CPU heatsink) you need to remove all four screws, and since those screws are the only ones holding the plastic panels on the together make up the case, as if after removing the screws you have a structure, that is no longer a structure and just wants to fall apart. Huge disappointment, and since a plastic case with 8 (or 10?) individual pieces has no advantage other than "looks cool" I'd go straight for a regular 3 piece case. My processor is getting hot. The heatsink came with a different case (the standard Pi 4 case) that didn't have a fan, so the heatsink was larger than the one that came with that case. I decided it was best to keep the larger heatsink, so I installed the fan on the outside of the case instead of inside. In any case, the fan howls a little, making enough noise to be heard in silence at a distance of 6 feet or more. Enough to distract and annoy, if you pay attention. I'm sure these cheap little fans vary in noise level randomly, and maybe I was unlucky enough to have bought a louder one. You won't notice it when you're watching TV, listening to music, talking to friends/family, but if the closet is near where you like to sit quietly and read, it can become annoying over time. My awareness of this comes and goes based on how active I am. Overall, I wouldn't buy this again - too much hassle when you need to open the case when case parts want to move in different directions, and I'd risk another brand in hopes of getting a quieter fan. Over time this can become annoying. My awareness of this comes and goes based on how active I am.
