I've been desperately trying to lower my electric bill. That helped. I still use the stove top but I will never have to use a full size oven again. I can bake in it with my muffins and muffin tins. I can grill on the included cooking grate (and I bought another grate on sale that fits my upper lip, so I have two grates at once!) I cook bones without the bone broth rack. I make this all the time with bean soups from scratch etc. I really like it. I'm glad I didn't go with a fixed inner pan. This can be safely removed and cleaned. There is a power indicator. it happens when you plug it in. If the temperature control is all the way to the left, it doesn't heat up. You have to move the knob for the right temperature (it takes about 15 minutes to get up to temperature before baking), the light is on all the time when plugged in. It's not a temperature gauge, it's a power gauge. but it is VERY handy for the forgetful. To give an idea of the size, I have a tiny kitchen so I have to put it on top of the washing machine (which is next to the kitchen anyway) and plug it in there to use it as the cord is so short. but it is VERY perfect for me. I have to put it away after each use (lol). The price I paid was incredible for the benefit I get from it. I'll be happy to replace it with the exact model if anything happens to it.
