Review on πŸ’» Unitek USB 3.0 to SATA Dual Bay External Hard Drive Docking Station - 2.5/3.5-inch HDD SSD Support, Offline Clone, UASP, 16TB Capacity, 12V/3A Power Adapter by Rhonda Babson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Optimal for cloning HDD accessories

Four completed attempts to view a 100% cloned disk does not clone a bootable or detectable disk. There was a transition from a 2TB drive to a 5TB drive and the cloner created partitions of the same size, but corrupted the files and made them unrecognizable. Create RAW partitions instead of NTSF. I've been trying for hours to use CHKDSK to restore the latest clone but still haven't gotten a working clone. Finally throwing in the towel and setting up a return for another clone brand. Have cloned many drives using the software method in the past but thought this little box would be a dandy for easy cloning. After a few days of effort is disappointing. USB disk access in the docking station works fine, only cloning failed.

Pros
  • External USB 3.0, internal SATA-III, supports all external 2.5" and 3.5" solid state drives, hard disk drives (HDD) and solid state hybrid drives (SSHD ) SATA I/II/III drives, maximum supported 2 x 16TB. Plug and play, no driver required, hot swappable, easy and fast.
