Background I am a knife collector. I bought several knives that were worn out by previous owners. The specific knife I have is the Balisongforums Pandayan Bowie Stainless Steel Handle No. 1. It belonged to a known forum member who recently passed away. It has changed hands several times since the first owner. Looks like someone tried to sharpen a blade. They left large scratches on the sides of the knife blade. To make the scratches more even, I converted the blade from a high gloss polished finish to a matte finish using Scotch-Brite pads. I tried Flitz which didn't work very well when buffed. After reading this manufacturer's claims, I decided to give it a try. Following the instructions, I began restoring the mirror shine of this knife. It took about 15-20 inches at the moment, but it worked really well. It begins to take on the luster of a highly polished blade. I used a 100% cotton t-shirt to apply the blade and then buff it. I'm impressed with the progress and results I've seen so far. To even come close, I'll need a buffing wheel. I am very happy with the look of the blade. I will post updates as further progress is made in rebuilding this knife. Other benefits I see are no strong odor, non-toxic formula, and the effectiveness of a small amount used to make this product work. Two fingers up. We recommend.
