Size description varies greatly. My dog couldn't even turn around in the house and could barely get in. He's not that big. BUT. The bed is fantastic. so many that although I returned the small one, I still bought another medium one elsewhere. According to the description I needed a small one. Not even close. Unless your dog is a TOY breed or weighs less than 8 pounds, or a cat, I wouldn't play around with the little ones. Get the cure, put it on, get comfortable. This is an amazing bed! Our little one LOVES it! It is very easy to care for, does not absorb odors, is still soft/soft and cuddly, especially with duvets. Or a pillow. The windows are good, but it would be possible without. You are useless to us. Our dog tries to get out of them and chew on the twisted outside. He's a little crazy. That's why we keep them closed. Otherwise. WE FOUND A BED!
