Review on G-STORY W56TB: Portable FreeSync Touchscreen with Speakers, 15.6" IPS Display, 1920X1080P, 60Hz by Mark Turner

This is a fantastic portable monitor.

So I tried to decide between the new Mac Mini and the more portable M1 Macbook. A Macbook would be very portable but I sacrificed a bit of performance I think 1 less GPU core and of course it was a lot more expensive. The Mac Mini is very small and could easily be carried around, but the problem was the display. That's where this G-Story came in. Being able to power both the Mac Mini and this USB CI monitor gives me a fully portable desktop computer. The screen itself looks very smooth. It is very thin and ultra light. The included carrying case is another feature that makes it a great portable option. Simply flip the lid back and it becomes a stand. The lid is held in place by magnets, so I strongly recommend not using the touchscreen feature when using the lid as a stand. They include a remote control but I found I never used it. The display's color rendition looked fairly accurate right off the bat, so I didn't have to make any adjustments to the settings. You can get 60 fps with this monitor, which means it can be useful for gaming. I'm not a big gamer so this isn't a big selling point for me. In the end, a big draw for me was how good the colors looked for my video and photo editing, which I do professionally. A nice big screen in a portable form factor was a game changer for me, honestly. Finally, I found this screen very handy for the remote video recordings I was making. The client wanted to be able to see what I was filming, a kind of poor people's video village. I was able to connect the screen to my wireless video transmitter and then just hand the screen to the client while we were shooting. My client was impressed that he could see everything on a nice big screen instead of looking at a small 7 inch field monitor. If you're looking for a portable monitor solution, you really can't go wrong with this one from G-Story.
