It's quiet and has a great remote that works too. The remote control can be wall mounted and just press the function you want, and you don't even have to take it out of the wall box if you don't want to. I love being able to use it next to my chair or if small children are around I can secure them in a wall mounted cradle. The light dims and brightens when touched and turns off and on when touched. The blades feel a little thin compared to my other fans, but that doesn't interfere with airflow. The fan speed has a low, medium, and high setting, which is a plus.
