I have owned and used dozens of 25' x 1" tape measures over the years and the same goes for 16' x 3/4" tape measures. These are all very useful for construction and outdoor projects, they are heavy but can withstand abuse and work well. So when I bought this little Lufkin 6' x 1/2" for my wife, I expected it to be light weight and good quality from Lufkin, and it was. I took it with me and mine a few times Surprise was it becomes my tape measure 90% of the time Outside and inside I use it for small projects, making band saw mounts, redoing a boat deck and hood, installing some under sink shelves around the house etc. 1/2" Bandwidth and build quality is what makes this tape measure so useful and accurate. My wife, again and maybe a few more strategically placed in the store and one for me at home. Give it a try, I'm sure you'll be surprised as well at how useful it can be.
