Revain says it will fit my 1995 Ford Explorer but according to Kurt's website (curtmfg.com) they don't make a front mount receiver that would fit my car. Apparently I should have checked their website first and avoided all the hassle of buying and then returning this item. The frame at the front of my Ford Explorer is about an inch narrower than this hitch, so it will be impossible to get it to work. The clutch inside is 32 5/8" and the frame is about 31 1/2". Also, there are no holes in the frame, even close to the assembly instructions, so even with the correct width I would have to drill holes in the frame, which any dealer will tell you. not to do. I still gave it 5 stars even though I didn't actually get to use it and had to send it back. This isn't the first Curt hitch I've bought and it's very well built and easy to install (the one I bought for my Jeep took about 30 minutes to install, including the wiring harness). Simply use the quick connector search on the Curt homepage to ensure you are ordering the correct part for your car (if available).
