Review on ๐Ÿ๏ธ Enhance Your Ride with HTTMT WCO- Adjustable Clip On Windshield Extension Spoiler Wind Deflector for Motorcycles by Raymond Iglesias

The integral plastic wave washer broke on initial installation rendering the entire unit unusable

I gave this product 1 star because the system does not allow a zero rating. I am returning the HTTMT Windshield Extension Spoiler Wind Deflector for a number of reasons. First, the necessary plastic wave washer broke upon initial installation rendering the entire unit unusable and non-functional. Second, the HTTMT spoiler wind deflector is probably better suited for semi-permanent installation on a bike with occasional removal (IMHO it's not a true "clip on" block). For installation/removal, the four Allen screws must be tightened with the Allen key (supplied). After disassembly, the device consists of at least eight parts that are not fixed to the device and can easily be separated from the device and lost (4 Allen screws, 2 rubber elements covering the edge of the windscreen and 2 metal pressure plates that are Allen screws resting against rubber parts). The remaining parts of the HTTMT block (brackets, clamping parts, spoiler) proved to be of good quality and solid construction in terms of value for money. But given the above issues, the broken washer, the potential loss of parts when removing, and the need for a tool to attach/detach from the bike, I would not recommend this product to users who want a true clip-on spoiler, ie a spoiler , which is quick and easy to assemble at the beginning of a journey and easily removed at each break in the journey (e.g. to stow it in the side cases for safety). I bought an HTTMT windshield extension spoiler wind deflector to replace a โ‚ฌ150 unit that was damaged in an accident. I'm going back to the $150 device for the ease of use and better clip design. Background: I ride my ADV bike about 3-6,000 miles per season on highways, local roads and gravel/off-road. In my opinion, long highway miles need a snap-on spoiler to reduce helmet impact. A spoiler is neither necessary nor desirable for local traffic. For gravel/off-road use, the spoiler should be removed for better clearance above the body.
