I've struggled for years to find an LED clock/alarm that could be dimmed (silent) enough - until now. I will preface my remarks that my cellphone is my main phone and is always on my bedside table. I found a great app for the big digital clock on my phone that dims enough and the alarm on my phone works great but when I put the phone on the stand it gets knocked off easily and ends up almost dead in the morning. Hence the pursuit of offline clocks. So - out of the box and only about 48 hours of use (two nights), I'm very satisfied. The clock was easy to assemble. Best of all, you can adjust the brightness from visible in a brightly sunlit room to almost black - barely legible in a completely dark bedroom. I didn't have to use an alarm when writing this original article - and that's why this watch doesn't get a 5-star rating: Try the alarm - at full volume I doubt it will wake a light sleeper. The fact that I wear earplugs at night almost guarantees a failing grade. But the fact that I rarely need an alarm clock and my phone is always on the table where I can set the alarm makes the need for an alarm clock manageable. It's light as other reviews say, but I find it adequate. As for the fact that they are made out of "cheap plastic/materials" - I don't know what world these people are from. This watch is made out of the same plastic as every other plastic item on this planet. They call it "cheap", it's just a matter of dissatisfaction with the standards they have or a truly faulty device. As for the fears of previous negative reviews, I will supplement and update my publication after a while. Otherwise - a good product - if you don't need an alarm clock (or are a very light sleeper).
