Beautifully crafted serrated knife. Although it claims to function like a bread knife, I found it a little uncomfortable using it that way. I think the thin blade combined with the length allows this knife to work well as a cake slicer. In particular, cut the cake into layers; where a thin serrated blade of length (exceeding the diameter of most cakes) can make a smooth and clean cut. The handle is plastic, nothing complicated or unusual. It's green, my mind eludes me. I checked it once on a loaf from a bread machine, it's quite tolerable. I have other bread knives with thicker blades, with a different kind of serrated edge, and they cut through a loaf of bread comfortably. I don't think I would use this knife to cut more loaves of bread unless it has a soft crust and no other bread knife is available. But I would appoint this knife for cutting cakes in layers. So I would recommend this knife if you need to cut through layers of cake, not as a bread knife. And the price won't drain your bank account.
