If you buy this cable, in most cases you will work with my RGB LEDs. yes you have something to do Yes, you will have to do a little soldering if you use it to connect lights so there is no light where you don't need it. When I'm done I'll post a photo. I need to find some time to finish work. You'll need to solder the connectors on both ends if you're trying to keep the light in one area.
