QNAP is a good NAS. I can't speak to all of their devices but my experience was great. I used to have 3 options. I chose this one because it had a 10GBe NIC shared with my other hardware. I wanted to implement a 1GB cache boost, but found I needed 8GB of RAM to add that size. It's in small print so I skipped it. I took an 8GB aftermarket chip and a QNAP tray that allows you to stack 2 x 500GB SSDs. I set the tray settings to RAID0 (1GB), figured out some of the complexities and everything worked. QNAP is a little pricey, but it works in the long run.
